    Associate Counselor Position

    Sona Counseling Services is currently seeking a Virginia or Maryland Licensed Professional Counselor to provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and/or groups. This therapist will provide ethical and professional counseling services through Sona Counseling as a licensed clinician by the Board of Counseling.

    Job Responsibilities include:

    • Conduct counseling sessions weekly.
    • Participate in supervision and consultation groups.
    • Complete all required case notes and clinical documentation.
    • Attend peer supervision groups and/or seek peer supervision and feedback.
    • Conduct relevant assessments and mandatory reporting as necessary.
    • Participate in meetings and clinical development in areas of interest/expertise.
    • Engage in marketing, outreach, and networking events.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Counseling.
    • Have an existing license in the State of Virginia as an LPC or in Maryland as a LCP-C.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong conflict resolution and crisis management abilities.
    • High degree of ethics and a practice of discretion and confidentiality.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent listening skills required.
    • Ability to consider internal and external resources to develop a client treatment plan
    • Possess high levels of patience, empathy, and respect.
